The Association Sola In Deo Sors Cavanis Onlus was born in Possagno, a town in Northern Italy located in Veneto, on 2 May 1922. It was founded as a branch of the high school “Istituto Cavanis Possagno” a the culture of inclusion to respond effectively to the needs of each student who manifests Special Educational Needs.
The Association aims to enhance the culture of inclusion to respond effectively to the needs of each student of the school who manifests Special Educational Needs, outlining the following indicators:
- Define shared practices within the institutions in terms of reception and inclusion;
- Facilitate the entry of students with Special Educational Needs into the school and social system;
- Promote collaborative initiatives between schools, the Municipality, local authorities, associations, ASL;
- Promote a welcoming atmosphere in the school and remove obstacles to inclusion;
- Create a communication network of collaboration and constant relationship with students’ families.
This is why “6insuperabile” was born in 2021. After a careful analysis of the problems in Italian schools as Cavanis and in Italian sport clubs we managed to create a sport event at a local level in northern Italy called “6insuperabile” (you are unbeatable)

The Sola in Deo Sors Cavanis Onlus association has a multifaceted role within the SPORTWAY project, actively contributing to the promotion of inclusive sports and the development of long-term impactful outcomes. As a full partner, the association ensures the organization of an inclusive sports event in Italy, fostering local and international engagement while also managing a portion of the project’s allocated budget.
One of the association’s primary contributions lies in the facilitation of inclusive practices at the high school “Istituto Cavanis Possagno.” The organization supports the school’s efforts to promote equal access to education and sports for students with special needs by removing infrastructural barriers and fostering an inclusive culture. Their initiatives include developing shared practices for inclusion, collaborating with local authorities and organizations, and ensuring a welcoming and supportive environment for all students.
Through the SPORTWAY project, the association plays a key role in fullfill the gap between able-bodied and disabled communities. By organizing inclusive workshops, events, and inclusive sport activities, the association creates opportunities for individuals with and without disabilities to engage and grow together. This collaborative approach aims to foster empathy, respect, and mutual understanding while promoting the development of essential skills for all participants.
The project’s impact extends beyond the immediate activities. By disseminating results through partner websites, a dedicated web app, and Erasmus+ online platforms, the association ensures the outcomes reach a broad audience. Inclusive practices developed during the project, such as the Inclusive Sports Activity Guidelines, will serve as replicable models for policymakers, educators, and sports organizations throughout Europe.
In addition to promoting inclusion, the association focuses on empowering young people with disabilities through targeted training and activities. The project encourages their active participation in sports and volunteer initiatives, enhancing their self-confidence and skillsets. Simultaneously, the project works with educators and coaches to equip them with the tools necessary to foster inclusion within their programs, thus broadening the reach of these initiatives. By adopting sustainable practices, such as minimizing travel impact and leveraging digital platforms for coordination, the association ensures an efficient use of resources. These efforts align with the European Union’s Work Plan for Sport (2021–2027), reinforcing the project’s commitment to inclusion, sustainability, and community engagement.
Through its involvement in the SPORTWAY project, Sola in Deo Sors Cavanis Onlus aims to drive transformative change in how sports are perceived and delivered, creating a future where inclusivity is at the heart of all activities.
