We’re excited to introduce Vienna United Basketball as the official partner and co-organiser of the SportWay 2025 event in Austria.
With more than 750 active members, including 650 children and youth players, Vienna United is Austria’s largest basketball programme and a key player in youth sports development. Founded in 2018, the club united 37 teams from Post SV Wien, Sportunion Döbling, and Vienna87, combining decades of basketball tradition under one name and vision.
More Than Just Sports and Basketball
Vienna United is committed to shaping the next generation—not only as athletes but also as individuals. The club promotes discipline, respect, and teamwork, whether players aim for a professional career or simply enjoy the game as a hobby. They work actively in primary schools, offering basketball training in the mornings, encouraging children to stay active and healthy.
Vienna United Basketball – From Vienna to Europe
The club competes in both the win2day Basketball Superliga (a national league) and the Wiener Basketball Verband (Vienna’s city league), and regularly sends its top teams to international tournaments, including the European Youth Basketball League (EYBL).
Playing a Central Sports Role at SportWay 2025
Vienna United will play an essential role in the SportWay event. The basketball tournament will be organised with their support, and they will provide experienced coaches and players to lead the activities. The event will take place at their own training and competition venue — the basketball hall at Posthalle Wien.
ACTIVE Austria is proud to partner with Vienna United Basketball, an organisation that shares our values of inclusion, youth empowerment, and community through sport. Their expertise and passion will help make SportWay 2025 a meaningful and memorable event for all participants.
