Anticipation is building for the fifth edition of 6InSuperAbile, a major event that will reach its peak on May 16 and 17, 2025, at the sports facilities in Possagno (Treviso, Italy). The goal of this event is to promote the knowledge and practice of inclusive sports, involving thousands of participants, including institutions, associations, families, school students, and individuals with disabilities.
This year, 6INSUPERABILE is taking inclusion to the next level by joining the SportWay Project, co-funded by the European Commission, which connects three partner organizations from Slovenia, Austria, and Italy. The European scope of SportWay amplifies the already significant regional impact of 6INSUPERABILE, helping to raise awareness among entrepreneurs, institutions, and associations about the importance of inclusion. Over the years, 6INSUPERABILE has grown beyond a sports event into a year-round movement, generating initiatives, events, and discussions that continue to inspire and engage communities.
But, What Does It Mean to Be Part of a European Sports Project? Being part of SportWay means recognizing an equality that transcends political and linguistic borders, all in the name of sports practice. It means breaking down barriers and challenging the misconception that individuals with disabilities cannot participate in sports. On the contrary, SportWay flips this paradigm, building bridges between people with disabilities from different countries, uniting them through their shared passion for sports.
The project also aims to develop guidelines on how to improve the engagement of individuals with disabilities, highlight strategies to involve more volunteers, emphasize Fair Play values, and identify best practices for organizing truly inclusive events.
Three Key Events in Three European Countries!
The SportWay Project includes three main events across Slovenia, Austria, and Italy. The first event took place in September 2024 in Ljubljana, Slovenia, as part of the European Week of Sport. Hosted at the city’s main stadium, this large one-day event welcomed participants of all abilities, highlighting accessibility and inclusivity. Organized by CENTER ZA USPOSABLJANJE, VZGOJO IN IZOBRAZEVANJE, this event fostered a strong community spirit and Fair Play, setting the tone for the overall project.

The Sola in Deo Sors-Ex Allievi Cavanis Onlus “6InSuperAbile” team took part in this experience alongside two athletes with disabilities, who, through the practice of karate, discovered new forms of social interaction, engagement, and friendship.
The second event will take place “at home” in Possagno, with the highlight being the sports event on May 16 and 17, 2025. In addition to the main competition, a variety of parallel events will be organized to promote awareness and inclusion through sports, art, and music, enhancing the rich cultural heritage that makes Italy unique.
Participants will also engage in inclusive art workshops, where young attendees will take part in creative activities throughout May 16. Schools and museums will play a central role in promoting accessibility-focused initiatives, including guided visits to local museums, such as the Fondazione SportSystem Museum in Montebelluna, the MeVe Museum in Biadene, Casa Giorgione in Castelfranco, and the Gypsotheca Antonio Canova in Possagno, where disabled guides will lead the tours.
Additionally, a gala dinner will take place on May 23 at a historic Venetian Villa, featuring performances by artists with disabilities. This exclusive event will raise awareness among businesses and citizens, with a fundraising initiative to support local inclusion projects. The celebrations will conclude with a major charity concert on May 25.
At the core of 6INSUPERABILE remains sports, with an action-packed weekend on May 16 and 17. Participants will have the chance to engage in a wide range of sports, including Golf & ParaGolf, Baskin, Basketball & MiniBasket, Volleyball, Karate & ParaKarate, Inclusive 5-a-side Football, Tennis, Pickleball & Wheelchair Tennis, Abi Rugby, Climbing (Adaptive for intellectual disabilities), Inclusive Table Tennis, and Pet Therapy.
The European delegations will arrive in Possagno on May 14, experiencing the pre-event preparations firsthand. They will assist in setting up the sports venues, visiting museums, participating in preparatory meetings, and conducting interviews with young participants. This hands-on involvement will foster collaboration between international teams and local communities.
The full engagement of local schools and sports organizations will be fundamental, with more than 50 volunteers per day assisting in the organization and supporting the activities. The strong backing of local institutions further strengthens the event’s impact.
Originally launched in 2021 by Brombal, 6INSUPERABILE is now organized by Ex Allievi Cavanis Association “Sola in Deo Sors”, in collaboration with Fondazione Brombal ETS. The project’s mission has always been to involve as many institutions and sports organizations as possible, including athletes with disabilities, social cooperatives, and local schools, in activities that promote integration and raise awareness of inclusivity through sports, music, and art.
The numbers speak for themselves: during the last edition, 6INSUPERABILE involved 1,500 young participants, and on October 25, 2024, the event raised €51,000 in donations to support 15 nonprofit organizations, including Ala Autismo, La Rosa Canina, Polisportiva Olimpia Postioma, Uoei Treviso, Polisportiva Terraglio, Società Cooperativa Sociale Vallorgana, Con..Tatto, Ali Società Cooperativa Sociale, Sporting Life Center, Vita e Lavoro Società Cooperativa Sociale, Asolo Golf Club, Pedemontana Volley, Società Ginnastica Castelfranco, Judo Kodokan Marcon, and Sport Life Montebelluna. Additionally, an extra €10,000 was donated to Protection4Kids, further reinforcing the event’s social impact.
“Looking Ahead: The Final Stop in Vienna! “
The final chapter of the SportWay Project will take place in Vienna, Austria, in September 2025, once again aligned with the European Week of Sport. Hosted by Verein für Aktiv Leben und Bildung, this five-day gathering will focus on reviewing the experiences gained throughout the project, developing new strategies for making sports events even more inclusive, and fostering continued international cooperation. The meeting will bring together partners from Italy and Slovenia, highlighting collaboration as the foundation of SportWay and celebrating the unifying power of sports.
The SportWay Project and 6INSUPERABILE embody the belief that sports have no boundaries. Through cooperation, awareness, and direct involvement, these initiatives are shaping a new era of inclusive sports that empowers individuals and communities alike. We look forward to welcoming participants, supporters, and volunteers to Possagno in May 2025 for what promises to be an unforgettable celebration of unity, diversity, and athletic passion!
